Im Back to WORK!

COme to think about it...work is a four letter word...and arent lots os "bad" words made with four letters??? now it all makes sense! ha ha

Anyways...Im back to work...and I had a few offers from other companies and they were VERY TEMPTING! but I decided that I would be happiest staying at Marks...but wait! theres a twist! Im the assistant operator for customer service! yuppers! I got a bigger and better job...yippee! The store Im at is the flagship store...so we are the biggest store, with the newest fixtures etc..and we are also a test store...there are 2 districts that consist of test stores...one in Calgary and one in London Ontario...what makes them different is that there are clearly defined roles for everyone...at any given time, the associates are either part of the merchandise crew or engagement crew (fancy for sales!)...and Im in charge of the sales side...Yeah, I dont have to merchandise, or stock or anything like that! yippee! I make sure that the customers are being helped the Marks way, and the staff is keeping busy, and know their product knowledge and stuff like that! It is a very exciting position at a very exciting store! Yeah, the first week back is done!

On another note...Jonathan has a touch of the sniffles today...we were gonna look at cars for me, but with him not feeling good...why make his day miserable and ours not so fun? so we snuggled on the couch this afternoon...man was his nose ever runny! my shoulder of my shirt was soaked! but it can get washed...

Jeff took him out...And I got to stay home and hand out treats...which is fine by me...I love to see the little kids all dressed up and kinda waddling with the big costumes on...we had about 24 kids or so...which is a surprise because the weather was very nice...it was about 6 degress or so...Jeff found out on his walk that most of the kids were heading to the newer part of TV, which is why we didnt get many kids...we think next year we are just gonna get a 24 case of fun pop and snack-size chips to give out...we will have less junk leftover for us...

Jonathan crawled up the stairs at Nannie and Papas house...and I have to pics to prove it...I used a bead toy to bribe him up the last couple stairs...apparently its hard work climbing stairs!

Then for his encore, Jonathan went swimming in the tub with Daddy and Papa! Dont tell me that he wasnt having fun!

I know...but I have been having way to much fun on facebook...I have 3 games of scrabbalous with Mom and Dad and Jeff going...and you can post pics and videos and stuff...

Well...where do I start???

I am on mat leave until Nov 2007...and I got a phone call out of the bolue from The Bay...they are looking for workers and they found me and wanted to set up an interview...ok...so I went and talked with the Lady and she said she could match waht MWWH was paying me, but she would talk to her HR dept and see about getting me MORE!!! and its for the mens shoe dept, sales only! (I am going back to industrial land when-if I return to MWWH...which is work boots, mens and ladies shoes...and work clothes)...no stocking, no re-arranging for events, no inventory counting! hmmmm...I am playing phone tag with Lady to see what she can offer...Im thinking I might stay at MWWH...it will be holiday season, back to work, the schedule at MWWH is better (cause I said that I can only work 1 week-end a month...and have to work day shift Wed, Thur, Fri because of daycare...thanks Les)...but if the throws an OBSENE amount of money at me....maybe...

We are packing up tomorrow morning and heading to Mom and Dad's house...Jeff has appointments in EDM Thur afternoon and Fri...so I figured that its just as easy to thrown me and the babe in the back on his way...

Get the house baby-proofed Nannie...Jonathan is a BUSY little man!

Jonathan and I went to Edmonton yesterday because a cousin is getting married this weekend...and Jeff stayed home to take care of some family business...Here are pics of Jonathan in Mom and Dads hot tub...he did really good...and started to kick his feet and laugh when the big bubbles were turned on...once we took him out of the baby boat, he was kicking his legs and moving his arms as if he was swimming...Mom and Nannie got a face full of water more than once...Papa was standing on the sidelines cooking chicken and fixing the girls drinks and taking pics of the little monkey...

May 7th...Jonathan had his first non-boob food....he had rice cereal...it was on him more than it was in his mouth cause it was soooo runny...we tried again tonight with it a bit thicker and it seemed to go in his mouth ...but he still managed to wear a good part of it...

May10th...Jonathan was laying down on the floor playing with Daddy Jeff and Jeff pulled him up to sit...and Jonathan planted his feet and stood up!!! Jonathan had quite a big smile on his little face..but then again...so did we...

May14th...I was snuggling with Jonathan in bed this morning and he was on his back...and then he did it...he rolled from his back to his tummy...I didnt believe i saw what i thought i was so i rolled him on his back...and he did it again...I ran to get Jeff so he could see...and Jonathan didnt want to do it again...2 times was enough for today...he hasnt done it since...hopefully he will soon so Jeff can see...

Little monkey has a appointment for needles tomorrow morning...and then Im gonna sneak off to curves and work away my mummy tummy...or as Jeff calls it...my yummy mummy tummy...ha ha ha...

Hey all...We went to see Mom and Dad this weekend...Jeff did work at the trade show (and wheeled and dealed

sopme cool stuff in exchange for staplers) and me and Jonathan went shopping at Toys R Us (see his new chair??? From Nannie and papa) and went for a walk (he fell asleep before we got to the playground)...And best of all.....Jonathan had the biggest belly laugh Sat night at the supper table...it was soooo funny listenning to him laugh at jeff for a good 4 or 5 mins...Mom and Dad are gonna drop off me and Jonathan at the trade show cause Daddy Jeff was talking about his best bud to EVERYONE so we gotta show him off...and then we are all going to Harveys for burgers...and PICKLES!!!!

Sorry about being "away" but I am totally addicted to facebook...I have found lots of friends from school and from living on base and from when I worked at the internet pharmacy...crazy how small the world wide web really is...Im looking forward to Auntie Brenda joining up as well...Its really easy to get around and do stuff...I think thats what makes it so addictive...

Anyways...Jeff is in Winnipeg as we speak...and it was 17 degress there today...here...well, its been snowing the past two dats...just look at Moms pics if you dont believe me...

Im thinking that Jonathan is just about ready to roll...he will roll over to one side, but cant quite figure out how to get the rest of the way over...we were practising for a bit tonight...Jeff will be sad if Jonathan does something cute while he is away...But if he does, I wont tell Jeff and I'll act surprised...maybe...

Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you as to WHY it works!

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your Head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the Area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number

Well...it was a very busy, but fun trip...We left Sat morning and arrived 14 hours later...yikes...we took highway 3 cause of all the mudslides and avalanches that kept closing highway 1...it was a very pretty trip during the daytime...we went through Frank slide...and Creston (where the Kokanee brewery is...and we HAD to stop and take a pic of the sasquach in front...Jeff is OBSESSED about them) and then there was another statue of a sasquach on the side of the road just minding its own business...so Jeff HAD to pull a u-ey and get a pic of that as well...but as it got darker the closer we got to Langley, the roads got twistier and turnier...and then it started to drizzle rain!!! not a fun time...Jeff drove the entire trip...his knuckles were white by the time we got to Bobs place...we were so glad to get there even though Bob and Vivian (Jeffs cousin) held dinner for us and we ate a midnight...full tummy before going to bed..yikes...

Sunday we got up about 10am cause of the late night the night before...and we went to White ROck...and Jonathan put his hands in the Pacific Ocean...he didnt like it one bit...maybe because the water was cold, maybe because of the funny way Dad was holding him...here are the pics...you be the judge...we had a nice lunch at a restaurant by the water and then for supper we went for Pho...there are 3 Pho restaurants within walking distance from Bobs apartment...yummy!!! I was the only one who ate the Pho...Jeff and Bob and Vivian had Chinese stir-fry type dishes...which were good...but not as good a my bucket of noodles...YUMMY!!!

Monday was my day to hang with Jonathan cause Jeff and Bob went to Van Island to do calls...so me and babe went to the mall...there was everything in this mall except for Wal-Mart...it was very big and I kept getting lost...no biggie...its not like I had any wheres I had to be until 7pm when the big boys got home...we had chicken and veggie kabobs...another yummy meal...

Tuesday was a day for calls in Van area...Me and Jonathan went for a walk to Army & Navy and around the neighbourhood and them came home for a nap...it was a windy day for a walk...but the flowers were in bloom and there was NO SNOW!!! sorry Mom...We went out for Greek and another little place a bout 3 blocks from Bobs place and it was sooo good...and they were so friendly....totally Greek...and Jonathan was so good...he didnt make a sound and the people around us couldnt believe there was a baby in the stroller not a doll because he was so quiet...he just played with his fingers and rings and nad a couple little naps while we ate...

Wednesday was another day on the road as we came home to TV...we were very glad to be home and sleeping in our own bed or crib...

the next adventure is a trip to Les and Aarons for UFC...oh yeah and Easter dinner...and then its off to Saskatoon and Winnipeg for Jeff for 2 trade shows on the 2nd and 3rd weekends...and then he comes to TV to pack-up Me and Jonathan to go to Edmonton the 4th weekend for another trade show and to visit with Nannie and Pappa...gee...this unemployment thing is kinda fun...I can go with Jeff and visit everyone while he works...sucks to be Jeff sometimes...

Here is Jonathans "new" toy box...kinda looks like the box from the Datsun that had all the CB radio stuff in it...doesnt it??? Its full of goodies from cousins Joey and Alex...they have outgrown them and lucky Jonathan has inherited them...He has a bit of growing to do before he can play with them all, but he sure is growing!!!

This is Jonathan in his new play-pen from Nannie and Papa...he is getting used to it now...Now he can fall asleep in it after playing with some of his toys... He has more toys in it now than when the pic was taken...and ther is a fave blankie in it to...for when he plays himself asleep...

Tonight, Jeff and I totally re-arranged the living room to make room for Jonathan and his play-pen and his swing and all his other stuff...Its not the baby that takes up all the space...ITS THE STUFF!!! Hes not big enough for the jolly-jumper yet...it wasnt very pretty when we put him in it last week...he just kinda flopped around...we will try again in a few weeks... I will try to take pics of the new living room arrangement once we get all the little stuff put away...

Here is the same list as Mom and Les...I have seen more than Mom but less than Les...but there are lots of my faves that werent mentioned...the Griswalds Christmas...or the original Griswalds...Mary Poppins (my #2 fave of ALL TIME) and Sound of Music (my #1 fave of ALL TIME)...I know its kinda cheesy, but every time I find them on tv even if theres like 10mins left, I am somehow compelled to watch them...right Dad?? ( I wont tell what your secret fave is***smiles***its not what anyone might think...I would never have guessed if Mom didnt tell)...The ones I have seen are in red...enjoy...

We had a fun visit with Nannie and Papa and Cody and Chow...the animals kinda left Jonathan alone...Chow did venture a couple of steps into the room that Jonathan and I slept in and then turned around...yipee, no drama...

Nannie gave Jonathan a few toys that me and Les used to play with way back in the day...the mirror rattle, the apple, and the turtle...we played with the apple this afternoon...and i think he liked bopping it around to hear the jingle of the bells hidden inside...

Well, we are here and the weather is cold and kinda gloomy...Jonathan did good travelling last night...we left at 2pm and got to Mom and Dads at supper time...Dad was following us from his office...and babe slept the entire trip...yeah!!

Mom took me and Jonathan shopping this morning and tested out the stroller and car seat for herself...super easy...lucky for us...

yes...the pics were demanded by Nannie and Papa...seems they cant get enough of the little guy...cant say that I blame them...he is kinda cute...

not much going on tonight...we went grocery shopping with him this afternoon and he slept for the most part...he started getting fussy about 10 mins away fropm home cause his tummy was empty...but when we got home, he was all good to go...so we watched some tv (there was a Motley Crue concert on tv so we were partying until he passed out...good little metal head)...and then he went to bed...where was Jeff you might be asking??? well he was downstairs watching hockey...

And we went to

Saskachewan!!! Jeff had to go to Regina for 2 calls on Monday, so we packed up the little guy and headed to Grandma Bettys (Jeffs moms) house in Saskatoon...babies sure do need alot of "stuff" to keep them going for 3 days...we had the bassenet for him to sleep in, the swing so we didnt have to hold him the entire time (although Grandma was very okay with that...ha ha) and his suitcase full of sleepers...you never can guess how many he will go through...it seems I do laundry every other day)

And then we wnt to visit Brian and Marie and Keisha...Brian and Jeff have been friends FOREVER...Keisha wasnt too sure about holding a little baby at first, but she did great...and her Mom quickly told her that she couldnt have one of her own...lots of chuckles...

And then we came home...

Jonathans first round trip...nothing wrong with that...We are hoping to go to Edmonton for a few days in the middle of next week...Jeff has to see another business and we might as well make it a family affair...besides, my schedule is kinda open for a while...and I could use a vacation from my hioliday as Jeff likes to call it...

Jonathans big day (Jan 15-2007)

Jonathan had his first surgery yesterday...ouch...it was "boy" surgery...We would have gotten it done earlier, but it isnt covered by AB Health and it cost $350 to do it at the hospital in HR...so we went to CAlgary to the same dr that did Joey and Alex surgery...they did it for $200...and they were closed for the holidays...so yesterday was the first appointment we were able to book...

Everything went well...it is a bit sore looking and red...and he only screams when I change his diaper and have to put the polysporin on it...but somehow I think it bothers me more than it bothers him...I dont really like to think about the actual deed cause it kinda freaks me out...

I had a good birthday yesterday...It started with an afternoon of shopping at Chinook mall with Jeff and Jonathan...Jonathan slept the entire time...pretty good since we were at the busiest mall in Calgary...I found 2 pairs of jeans and 1 top at Reitmans (had to show Jan the baby) and 4 tops at Suzy...and I found the COOLEST/UGLIEST shoes EVER at a store called D-Tox...there were 2 pairs of Docs (one black and the other was black and white saddle shoes!!! how cool is that) but they didnt have my sizes...boohoo...then I found a pair of black and white mary-jane saddle shoes...and they didnt have my size in those either...rats...I will have to give the store a call in a couple weeks to see if they have my size yet...The mary-janes were so cute, although Jeff said that he wouldnt admit hewas with me if I got them...oh well...I can live with that...teehee...I still have my Christmas money from Bob and Birthday money from Mom and Dad and my scrachy tickets winnings still to spend...hmmm maybe Ill save it for when we go to Saskatoon or Edmonton...

THen last night we went to Auntie Pams for supper...Jeffs cousin CHristina and her family (Rick, Madison and Dylan) were in town for a stop-over on their way to MEXICO!!! lucky them!!! We had yummy roast chicken and beets and parsnips (ya know, roasted parsnips arent that bad afterall...I liked them more than the beets...who'd a thunk it)...and because Jeff is the bestest hunney, he told Auntie Pam that it was my birthday and we had cake and cherry pie...YUMMY...and we have the leftovers in our fridge...can anyone guess what I am having for my midnight feeding snacks for the next few days?!?!? yuppers, cake and pie...

Jeff and I didnt go out this year...we hung out with Jonathan until I passed out at 10pm...I woke up just before midnight so I went to give Jeff a kiss and he was playing his Xbox...Black is quite the addictive game...they say that crack is addictive, well they havent tried Black...right Aaron...then I went back to bed...I only had to get up twice for feedings...and Jeff got up once for bum change duty...thanks Jeff...Jeff even took the baby at 8am when Jonathan couldnt sleep anymore and let me sleep for another couple hours...lucky me...

We had a really good Christmas...hectic, but good...Jonathan arrived Dec17...and then it all went crazy from there...we went to Auntie Les' for Christmas eve and for CHristmas for turkey...yummy...only 25 lb turkey with all the trimmings...and it wasnt very good...ha ha ha...and then we went for his first check-up and he did great...then we went into town to show him to the girls at work...they were waiting for 9 months to meet him...he was very well behaved...slept the entire time...and then we gave wally world a try...he did great there too...yup, he slept through his first wally-world trip...he has another drs appointment mid-Jan for his "snip-snip" as Jeff calls it...hopefully he will sleep through that as well...

Hope everyone had a good holiday season...I know me and Jeff and Jonathan did...

We had a boy!!!

Heres the story of Jonathans grand arrival...not very gorry, but very funny in a way...totally a Mac entrance to the world...great timing!!!..

My water broke about 2 mins before Jeff was gonna jump in the tub for a soak before we went to Les to babysit for M&H Christmas party....Ummmm, Jeff, I think my water broke?? he then asked, cant you hold it???Ummm, NO! we are off to the hospital...i called Les to let her know her back-up babysitters for her original sitter might need to bail cause they were going to the hospital...Call Mom cause that would mess her up for the night at the Nutcracker (BTW I had talked to Mom about an hour or so before hand to let her know nothing has been going on...ha ha ha...she had to ask a couple times to see if I was pulling her leg...would have been funny, but nope)...so we arrive at the hospital and they check me in strap me to a couple of monitors and check me out...turns out my contractions are about 5 mins apart and yes it was my water...great...we could have gone home and waited out the night with me not so comfy in my own bed driving Jeff crazy with panting, heavy breathing (hey, isnt how this all started in the first place?!?!?) ect...good thing we stayed put...I was given a couple shots of morphine during the night to get a bit of sleep before the "real" labour started...well I was up at 5-30 where they started some "help you along drugs" and they kicked in at 6-30am or so...and by 8-30AM I was pushing out a baby!!! WTF!!! forst timers arent supposed to go from 4cm to 10cm in 2 HOURS!!!! A little less than 1 hour later, I had me a baby!!! how crazy was that...

Im sure you have all seen the pics and videos courtesy to Nannie and Auntie Les (can you tell she's excited to be an Auntie?!?!?)

Yeah, we have been a bit pre-occupied with the impending arrival of alittle someone known for quite sometime as "Tic-Tac"...not yet...went to the drs yesterday and she said the babys dropped as low as he can go until the "marathon on your back" starts...sounds like fun, huh? not THAT kinda fun...ha ha ha...the doc said that the latest she'll let the baby go on his own will be Jan3...so there could be birthdays Jan 3-4-5...that will make Dad's life easier...thats what he was planning for all along...but we will wait and see what happens...

I have to run and get ready for the dentist...I have a cleaning and check-up today...hmmm...what flavour polish and flouride should I get?? the last time I went there were 2 new flavours that I tried out for the girls...Bubble gum polish and cotton candy flouride...just like when I was little!!!

if anything "interesting" happens we will let our fingers to the walking and run up Jeffs cell phone bill!!! sucks to be Jeff somedays...ps...he's upstairs watching the newest SUperman movie...not my thing, thats why Im down here doing a blog update...

Yeah!!!

The dr appointment on Tues went good...Mom was down for the week Jeff was away in case anything happened...luckily nothing except the cookie exchange...check-up was good...the doc was kinda chatty...as if I was the last appointment of the day and he had all the time in the world to chat...it was a 1-30pm appointment...and we left just before 3pm!!! poor Cody was at my house with her legs crossed...not really...she was fast alseep on the couch when we got home...sorry Jeff...but we had covered the couch before we left just in case...***smile***the doc seemed to think that Imight have the High River New Years baby in my tummy...YIKES!!! but that means I have to be pregnant for another week!!! oh well...Jonathan will come when he is good and ready...Jeffs responce was "really...what do we win if he is???" I think Dad would have said the same thing...

Had a rough day on Wednesday and came home an hour early...thought baby was trying to come out sideways!!! not fun...couldnt get comfy...but managed to get through Thurs and Fri..Kim and Erin and Kyle from work gave Jonathan 3 really cute sleepers with trucks and traffic signs on them and a rattle that clips onto the baby carrier...that was really thoughtfull...

Jeff and I are gonna have an open-house in Jan (after the craziness of the holidays) for our friends to come out and meet the baby...the gang at work is quite excited...they have been waiting about 9 months for his arrival...and they have been getting a laugh or two cause I would drop something, but not be able to pick it up...just wait for your turn ladies...it would be quite as funny...

I am officially on mat leave as of tomorrow...and Im gonna be busy...Les is hosting a baby shower for Jonathan in the afternoon...knowing Les, there will be a name that tune of some sort...and LOTS OF FOOD...and Jeffs Auntie Pam offered a cake and possibly other little goodies from her bakeshoppe (Decadent Desserts) becasue she cant attend...I told her we would rather have her than the cake...but we will love the cake...they are sooooo yummy...here is the website in case you are curious...

With the arrival of baby so close to Christmas, I thought that we (Jeff and I...yeah right) would send out baby announcements and Christmas cards to everyone at the same time...so the cards might end up getting there a bit after Christmas, but there will be an "added bonus" inside...

Yeah!!! its almost over...I have today and tomorrow off from work and work at 2pm Sat...so I have lots of time to play in the baby room...I am making the bed and sorting out more clothes from Les...the dresser is quite full...there are 4 drawers in it...the top drawer is socks and booties and shoes (and its full)...the next is matching outfits (so even Daddy can dress him up without looking goofy..sorry Jeff)...the next one is tops and bottoms that can be mixed and matched...and the bottom is sleepers that are kinda big...

now for the change table...there is a drawer that we are gonna put creams and wipes and lotions in when we arent using them...there are 2 shelves under the drawer...the first shelf will be for diapers and recieving blankets and burp pads (thanks Mom)...and the bottom shelf is for 3 bins (1 for diaper shirts and 2 for sleepers) we figure Jonathan will ive in sleepers at home, but will get dressed-up for town and company...and whenever Auntie Les and the cousins want to come and visit and play dress-up...ha ha ha..."no one will ever call me Auntie"...i think not...ha ha...

Im off to get a bite for lunch...hopefully the heart-burn wont be too bad...I have been eating gaviscon after almost everything I eat the last couple days...not easy to sleep or bend down to do something or pick-up something...I hope it gets better soon...

5 weeks to go...WOW...it is almost over!!!

Yikes...it is starting to totally sink in now...I have a couple of boxes of clothes to sort through and then Jonathans shower is in a few weeks...so I hopefully will have almost everything I need for his arrival...or at least a bit of time to pick-up whatever last-minute things are needed...

it is getting harder and harder to get a "good nights sleep"...i think those days are long gone...boohoo...it seems that every time I roll over at night, someone thinks that it means Mommy is up and ready to play cause the wiggling and poking starts... more wiggling than poking cause he is running out of room...

went to the drs this week...and if i go into labour before dec 3 i have to go to a calgary hospital...but after dec3 i can go to high river hospital...high river is about 35 mins from my house in turner valley...whereas a calgary hospital is a hour away and there will be docs that I dont know...the hospital in black diamond (5 mins away) doesnt do babies anymore...how conveinient would that have been?!?!? oh well...i think I can do 35 mins...and they have about 1 baby a day in high river (350 or so a year) as compared to calgary which have 5500 or so a year...little more one-on-one care in high river im thinking...

Im off to bed...thought I would update while things are fresh in my head...cause my train of thought gets de-railed lots these days...besides big day tomorrow...UFC at Les' place!! not sure what the girls are gonna do, but Im sure we will think of something...

As you may or may not know...last year Les hosted the first annual Beck cookie exchange...well...let's just say mine didnt turn out so well...thanks Mom for making extras for me...so I found 2 recipies online (Kraft) and thought that even I can do these...one was chocolate and marshmallows (who doesnt like those) and the other was peanut butter and chocolate (again, who doesnt like that combination)...anyways...they are finished and cooling...I hoep they are ok so I can start making them in bulk...if i cant decide between them, maybe I will enlist Joseph and Alex to help auntie decide...and then again, maybe Ill make them both...

Jeff is very excited about the up-coming...football game...between Sask and BC...he has a bet for $25 with his Dad...for those who dont know, Jeff is from Saskatoon and Bob lives in BC just outside Van...as Jeffie would say....WIN OR LOOSE...WE GOT BOOZE!!!

I am off for a disco tub...i picked up a light that you stick to the inside of the bathtub under the water from work last week...its kinda cool...there are 7 different colours that rotate from one to the next...its like the lights that you would have in a hot tub, but for your bath tub...Jeff had a giggle when he saw it and said that I should have been born a boy cause I like my gadgets...just like Dad...teehee...

I had the day off and Jeff is in Van to do a meet and greet with the BC colleges and universities out there....so whats a girl to do?!?!? GO SHOPPING!!! I found 3 cute tops that fit over the ever-growing belly...and ran into a couple of girls from my retail past, Jan and Anna...Jan worked with me at Chinook Centre @ Reitmans and Anna worked at another Reitmans in town...they were surprised to see my belly!!! I will have to pop by after the baby so they can meet him...it was a nice little visit...

I have 5 more weeks of work and its getting harder and harder every day...the store is getting busier and we are getting more stock...and then we have a customer appreciation night at the end of Nov in which everything in store is 20% off...and we are open until 11pm and its a Saturday!!! apparently I am getting favourable treatment cause I'll be in month number 9 cause I get to work from 2pm - 10pm...and then open the store the next day for 9am...oh and did I mention thats the day Les is planning Joseph's happy day party!!! does anyone know of old wives tales to get the baby to come before hes due?!?!?!? just kidding, maybe...

I am off to get something for supper...I picked up some chicken and baby bok choy...yummy...and am having stir-fry...yummy...

WOW!! its sneeking up fast...Jeff has finished building the crib...it took both of us to read the instructions and hold parts up while other parts are being screwed into it...teehee...And the weird things happenning are just getting weirder...i am leaking!!! AHHHHHHH...i was not expecting that to happen...but the funny part is when Jeff said "its about time...the blog says it should have started a few days ago"...how the heck does he know this stuff?!?!? and now my right butt cheek and left foot keep falling asleep...when i sit, when i roll over in bed to try and get comfy...and then when I do finally get comfy at night, someone thinks its a invite to play...Jonathan, not Jeff...Jeff wakes up and then rubs my belly and tells Jonathan to go back to sleep to Mommy can get another hour of sleep...Jeff is looking forward to meeting his new "bestest buddy" as he calls him...just wait what happens if Jonathan turns out to be a Sarah...you never know...

I have to get up and moving cause, you guessed it, my butt cheek is falling asleep again...

Here are some pics of the nursery furniture being built by the Daddy-to-be...AKA Jeff...the finished change table from Auntie Les and Uncle Aaron and cousins Joseph and Alex...and the crib in pieces (cause it wont fit in the doorway so it will be built once the carpets in the baby room is dry...good thing the boys thought of that BEFORE putting it together and tightening all the screws!!! ha ha) and Jeff starting on the dresser...it is starting to come together nicely...we will post pics once the room is put together for everyone to see...

Here is a "action shot" of Mom cutting around the baseboards...it took me a bit to get down on my hands and knees to get this shot, but I think it turned out ok...this is me painting the nursery...my very first time painting I would like to add...it was a bit harder on my hands and wrists than I was thinking it would be...I would get the wall done with the roller as high as I could go and almost do the whole wall...but then my wrist would get sore and Mom would come to the rescue...it is a pale yellow to co-ordinate with the quilt and pillow set from Great Auntie Bebe...thank you...we had a bit of a scare when we painted the first wall across from the only window in the room because it seemed like the paint was so concentrated in one area and so pale at the bottom of the same wall...turns out the sun was playing tricks on us...we also found a nice check fabric for curtains and maybe a crib skirt...

The boys said they liked to colour...but then again the just got home from the TV Legion with a big pack of steaks and a turkey...and they had a few jugs of beer...so Im not sure if they were doing the talking or the drinks were...oh well...it is gonna stay that colour for a little while...

Did I ever have a surprise when I got home from work last night...

Well....It all started way back in April when we found out I was gonna be a Mommy...and then last Tuesday when I had the day off we went through a bunch of odds-n-ends under the basement stairs and went for a trip to the dump...yesterday, Jeff moved his whole office down to the basement and was burning papers and old phone books when I pulled up in the driveway last night...it was a very long day for Jeff...

the old couch and loveseat have been moved to the pool table side of the rec room and the desk is almost in the same spot in the rec room as it was in the old office, just one floor down...Jeff has ordered a new lamp so its brighter for him to work down here and a new floor heater for his toes...

Jeff figured he'd get as muich done as possible before Mom and Dad showed up cause "it would cut into Jeff and Dad's drinking time"...it all boils down to the drinks...WTF?!?!? thats okay, maybe me and Mom will win supper at the legion in TV at the meat draw Sat afternoon...maybe we wont invite the boys to join us...we probably will, cause they always buys our drinks...ha ha...

I have a drs appointment this morning and then its off to town to fart around (literally these days...sorry everyone who is around me) until its time for work at 1-30pm...

Now im starting to get a bit nervous...12 weeks...wow, its coming up fast...i have set the start for my mat leave as Dec 10...it gives me 2 weeks before the due date to do any "last minute" stuff...and Jeff is going to be around for the whole month of Dec just in case...he usually goes on a road trip the beginning of Dec for a tour of the colleges and universities to show new product to the buyers before the big show in March...they like the one-on-one time with Jeff so they can ask questions and see stuff from the smaller lines that we might not have displayed at the big show...we usually have the main 5 or 6 venders on display cause they can take up alot of room...

anyways back to baby-goodness....he is getting very busy in my belly...he moves and streches and when i poke him, he kicks me right back...its kinda funny....Jeff has even been known to put his head on my belly and listen for him every once in a while...im okay with it as long as hes not to scruffy cause its not nice on my belly to have beard stubble pressed into my belly...it leaves funny marks...ha ha...but Jeff has been kicked in the head by Jonathan a few times while talking to him about everything and nothing all at the same time...

Mom and Dad have delivered the baby furniture safe and sound...now its in my hallway waiting for the baby room making party in Oct long-weekend...That will be interesting...we have to get rid of couch and loveseat from the basement to make room for Jeffs office to go downstairs in the rec room...and the wash and patch the walls in the nursery before we paint (Im thinking of a soft yellow colour...its a North-facing room and with winter around the corner, it might make it cheerier)...and then we assemble the crib and dresser (from Mom and Dad) and the matching change table (from Les, Aaron and the boys)...and move them in...the rocking chair from Lucie will fit in the nursery too (thanks Lucie)...and then I get to go through all the baby clothes from one of Les' day-care Moms (thanks Michelle), all 7 diaper boxes of them!!! I am glad I booked the whole weekend off cause thats alot of stuff to do...and the we still havent had the turkey yet...I think thats happenning at Les again...that way Joey and Alex are in their familiar surroundings...it will be a crazy gong-show no matter where it is...but theres always lots of family and food and drinks (punch for me and Jonathan...ha ha)...

I think its time to get out of my jammas and get my day started...

I cant believe how tired and sore I have been the last few days...and irritable...sorry Jeff...I have been going to bed early and everything and Im still exhausted at the end of my day at work...I was even very tempted to leave half-way through the day today because of how tired out I was...but I managed to finish up and go home on time...I just have so much to do and no "helpers" to help me...sucks to be me...I get done what I can get done and then go home...and Im not putting in any overtime at my store or any extra shifts at a sister store because they are short-staffed...(yes, they did ask last week, but I said no cause I was almost 7 months along...ummmm not gonna happen...we dont need the money that badly...hello generic mac n cheese goodbye KD...okay no goodbye KD...somethings you just cant do generic...KD and Heinz ketchup...yummy!! but not at the same time)

I am gonna go to wally world and do the baby registry thingy...I just have to be up for it cause you have to go to the store and zap everything you need/want with a zapper thingy...and I so havent been in the mood for wally world...crazy, I know...Im not too sure how much of what I will need, so any input from any Mommies out there would be appreciated...smiles...

I am off to finish watching survivor with Jeff...its his fave show...and he tapes it for me when I work late shifts...even though its the one show on Thursdays I really dont care if I miss...I would rather he tape CSI or ER or almost anything else...he means well...we get to lay on the couch under the blanky and watch it together...which is the only good part...although I must admit we are having troubles both fitting on the couch cause I dont scrunch up so good these days...hmmm I wonder why?!?!? perhaps a little boy is streaching out in my belly...maybe...smiles...

Hey everyone...I thought it was time for another update...Let's see...what the heck did I do on my 3 days off in a row??

Sat Jeff and I went to the farmers market (of course) and got our fresh carrots and apples and banana chocolate chip bread...hmmmmm yummy...then we headed home to get ready for our friends wedding...Darren and Melanie (1/2 of the band Snap'd if you have been reading previous posts)...she looked amazing...but she didnt get very good service from the place where she bought the dress (there were bustle issues...and what the heck is a bustle Jeff asked?!?!?)...Jeff took a few pics with his fancy new camera, but hasnt gotten a chance to zap them to computer...the reception was at the deerfoot inn and casino...the food was very tasty, but the fact that there was a Las Vegas style casino within seconds of the banquet room told me that we arent having our reception there...sorry to all the gamblers...in case you were wondering, we played blackjack for about 4 hours...and it was of $20...we were at the $5 min table and had a string of good fortune...we had enopugh to buy our drinks and a drink for our new "friend" Ron from High River (he and his wife were on a anniversary night away from their kids...good idea...we will keep it in mind) and still had $40 cash in pocket...not too bad...

Sun was a write-off cause we got home very late Sun morning...we both took a very needed nap in the afternoon...

Mon...We just got back from town...we saw pirates 2...it was funny...my fave part is still the long shots of Jack running...he runs like Phoebe off Friends...then we went to thyme and zellers to check out yummy mummy clothes...only found 1 pair of black cotton pants from thyme for a good price so I got them...and then to electronics boutique for Jeff...I had to buy him a game in order to see my choice movie...its not all bad, cause he paid for the movie...he wanted superman, but it was playing too late cause i have to work tomorrow...

I dont really want to cause I know there is lots of stuff to do...there always is when I have a few days off in a row...nothing seems to get from the back stock-room onto the selling floor...Melanie Im sure you can appreciate that coming from retail...I am soooo running low on stock too...and we have our first flyer (sale) of the season that starts Wed...but no worries...I conned some other stores out of the boots that are going on sale cause they will fly out of my store...ha ha...sucks to be the other stores...

home from holidays

Jeff and me (okay...more like me cause I picked the date) have been getting some flack for setting the date in Oct...but I want a fall wedding cause that's my fave time of year...I love the leaves changing colours and falling to the ground...and loved playing in huge piles of leaves when me and Les were little...and let's face it HALLOWEEN is in the fall people...who doesn't love the costumes and of course the junk food...even though I'm a "grown-up" I still love the costumes...especially on the little kids that go trick-or-treating...

On to more interesting things...

it's been great my first week back to work...wow...there was lots to do to get my boot deck into shape...I have been busy!! there were lots of boots mixed up with other styles (my number 2 pet peeve) and empty boot boxes mixed in (my number 1 pet peeve)...I spent some time analyizing the upcoming promotions for Sept and figuring if I have enough of the ones that are super popular and the ones that are going on sale...turns out I don't...so today I spent some of the afternoon in the office trying to chase down boots with fake requisitions cause no one would give up any of the boots i really need...our boot deck is doing twice what our projections are and I am loosing customers to other stores because it takes 7 - 10 days to transfer in from another store...so I'm transfering it to my store ahead of time...teehee...I have the space and I need the boots...I did, however, make sure the store I was calling had wither slow sales in that style & size or had more than 1...I would feel guilty about leaving them high and dry without it...but when they are sitting on 3 and 4 and in a couple of cases 12 of one size I had no hard feelings at all...my bad...

I am off to bed...I have had a long day, but I am off tomorrow...yippee...I'm not sure what I'm gonna do, but I think lounging in my jammas is high on my list of things to do...I love my jamma days...

Last post until Im back from the coast

I am looking forward to the trip...but must admit it will be kinda weird not going to Heath Court to Nannie and Pappas house...Im not sure how Ill take it...Me and Les havent been back for a while...but Im sure it wont be the last time thats for sure...Jeff isnt able to take 11 days off to go down...unfortunately this is a time of year when the college bookstores are getting their orders and there are always problems to troubleshoot...and he doesnt want to be on the computer and the phones while on "holidays"...but we will make the trip with a baby in tow...ha ha...

we are still planning for Oct 11, 2008 for "the big day"...there should be enough time to take a bit of time to enjoy the new baby and get the hang of that and plan a wedding...Les has had lots of ideas so far...

Im off to finish packing my carry-on bag...gotta have DVDs and magazines and snacks for the long plane ride...maybe Ill even get a chance to sleep a bit...but then again I am sitting with Les and Alex...so maybe not...

and it wasnt me...it was Jonathan!!! it kinda freaked me out...but at 11-30 at night im trying to fall asleep watching a movie and ...there it was...a little kick...and then another one...so I had to call Jeff in Brandon to tell him that the babe wasnt tired...so I called the hotel and woke him up at 12-30 in the morning...poor baby...but Jeff said he was glad to get the news even in the middle of the night...

it is feeling kinda real now...not only are my belly and boobs getting bigger...yikes...but i am starting to feel him move when I put stop what Im doing and lay down...kinda crazy...I think Jeff will be surprised at how much my belly has changed in just a week...and then I fly out for the East on Momday...I wonder how much it will change while I am away?? only 1 way to find out...

It seems that babies arent the only thing in the water...Jeff and I have been invited to several weddings this year (Darren & Melaine...Uncle Henry & soon-to-be-Auntie April...Deidre and Pat from Lethbridge...Hi D***smiles***...Lori & Michael)...and loads more friends are getting hitched next year (Tina & Steve...Katherine & Jeff)...and then there is me and Jeff in 2008...

Jeff doesnt want me to be preggo...he wants me to be able to "enjoy myself" as he called it...I think he just wants to get me drunk and watch me fall over myself...not gonna happen...besides it will give everyone a chance to plan for time off, save some $$$, and have a vacation at the same time...I think we are thinking of getting hitched and having a party...and then running off for a cruise somewheres warm...at least thats the plan today...tomorrow is a totally different matter...

I am getting very excited and nervous about the trip coming up next week...kinda doesnt seem real yet...I mean, I havent even finalized my clothes...who knows whats gonna fit me and what am I gonna be comfy in...I do recall it being humid down there in the summer, more like muggy...but I will be bringing my Marks discount card in case I "need" to get anything...ha ha...

Well, Im off to talk to Jeff...he's in Manitoba doing a set-up for Michaels and will be back just in time for Alex's birthday party...Uncle Jeff wouldnt miss it...

Well...as many of you already know...or have know about longer than me...I ended up with the present on Jeff's birthday...

picture it...(just for you Dad)...we had a lovely dinner, just the 2 of us for Jeff's birthday...we went to Melrose Cafe, where we had our first date almost 4 years ago...(looking back I dont know how I didnt catch on...I fell for it...everyone else knew...even Mom and Dad and Les and Jeffs family) and the dinner was great, of course...and Jeff's out of the blue says Will you marry me? WTF...I looked at him and said You didnt just do what I think you did? Did you? I just looked at him and started to giggle and he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ring??? OMG...this is not really happenning...Jeff looked at me and said Well, Im still waiting for an answer...of course I said yes...teehee...

We are on our way to a bar to go out with friends and see our friends band play...and Jeff says that I have to call Les and Mom cause they were waiting to hear the official news...(how could they keep a secret like that a secret...we totally suck at keeping secrets...right Les)...we get to the bar and I am getting lots of hugs about the belly...and then Jeff decides to re-introduce me to everyone as his fiancee!!!! Holy Cow!!! and then there are more hugs being passed around...It was a great night...the food, the band, the sober preggo driving the crazy drunks home...Jeff peeing on our friends tree...and I pull into the driveway to find another friend (from BC) car in the driveway...I guess they decided not to drive from Kelowna to Winnepeg in 1 go...who could blame them...

Its been a long and very chaotic day...and apparently there is WAY more chaos to come...I mean how many life altering events can a girl take at once??? first a baby...then a boy...then holidays...and now a wedding to plan... whoa...

I need a nap...

it turns out that the videos and pics of the baby are too much info...I totally jammed up my computer last night by trying to email it to everyone...sorry Jeff...he had to fix it this morning...I never claimed to be good at computers...so I guess everyone will ahve to hurry up and wait until I get down there with the disk...and not to take any chances, Its going in my carry-on...not luggage...with my luck it would be gone...and that would SUCK...big time...

and it seems the few on Jeffs side of the family who didnt want to know, really did want to know so Jeff told him this afternoon...the last grandparent was Jeffs dad...Hi Bob...

Jeff has been referring to my belly as "Johnny" so Im guessing he is hoping for a boy...or maybe its because Im calling my belly "Sarah"...now thats sass...

We had fun with the boys yesterday in our backyard pool...and then to the big outdoor pool...like Les said it was a very nice pool...very clean and well kept and not too many people...we were expecting a tonne of people cause it was so hot outside...it was hot again today, but there were thunder and lightning late this afternoon and early evening...just enough to cool it down a bit to be abole to sleep...poor Jeff has been sneeking downstairs to the basement guest/drum room at night cause he is just dripping with sweat and is tossing and turning...me, I can sleep at the drop of a hat in almost any situation...thanks for that trait Dad...

Well, the KD is ready and I'm hungry...again...will let you know how the ultrasound goes...

It took a while, but I think the names are decided on...if Tic-tac is a boy, he will be named Jonathan Robert Angus...Jonathan is an original name for mine and Jeffs family...and Robert is after Jeff's Dad and Angus is "chicken" George's middle name...Jeff still thinks is after the guitar player in AC/DC...silly boy!!! if Tic-tac is a girl, she will be named Sarah Lillian Mae...Sarah is another original name...and Lillian after Jeff's grandmother and Mae after Les and Nannie Johnston...we are still talking about the last name...will it be Mac or Klunky? we havent decided yet...there are many things to consider, but I do know it wont be Mac-Klunky...its way too long...it would be 6 sylables long...and kinda hard to spell...

I have my ultrasound on the 24th...hopefull the baby will want to show it its name is gonna be Jonathan or Sarah...I'll keep you all posted...and we are gonna get the colour 3-D images done and put to disk...so I think its coming on holidays too...

anyways...Ill try to talk to Jeff and see it he can take a couple of belly shots for you all this week...

for the ticker...she emailed it to me yesterday..but it took some dorking around with the cut and paste in the template to figure out how the heck to put it where I wanted...I think it turned out ok...

Belly is going good...getting rounder every day...i have a few "new" tops and a pair of jeans that Les and me found at VV boutique...yup, value village...but for 4 tops and jeans for $30 bucks?!?!? why not???

I am on loan next week and the week after that at another store...thank goodness it's not further than my base store...so it's only 45 mins away...yippee...because one of the full time girls is going on holidays for 2 weeks...I told them I could help them out as long as I got my time off that I requested for baby stuff and Jeff's birthday...and I got them...I guess they really wanted me pretty bad...I have baby appointments July 19 and 24...and booked day shift for the 28 and off 29 for Jeff's birthday...We are gonna see our friends band play the 28th...and cause Jeff's not driving, we will probably be there until the very end when I drive the band home on our way home...and then I booked off the 29th for obvious reason...sleep deprivation!!! Jeff will be the big 3-8...he'll finally be an old fart...just kidding Jeff...

Tic-Tac likes ice cream....

especially when Mommy and Daddy go to Bragg Creek on the bike...It was such a nice day, we put on our gear and went for a bike ride...My first of the season...Last season was crap-tacular so I think I only went a handful of times and this season I'll eventually get too big to fit my jacket and jeans...so off we went after lunch for dessert...

It was pretty nice on the way out there...We were both keeping an eye out for the ranch that had the old beat-up punch-buggy rusting in the field to be the first to punch-buggy-dont-punch-back the other one...I guess the joke was on us cause it wasnt there...who knows what happened to it...maybe it rusted to nothing...ha ha...

We made our way to the usual ice cream parlour and had the task of choosing 1 of the 50 or so flavours...not the easiest thing to do...but the end result is always yummy...and then we went for a walk aound the complex..there are a bunch of little shops and stuff like that, but they are all closed Mondays...so not too much to look at, except the real estate office...so we went in to have a peek...

OMG!!! they are starting at 700,000...and thats for a dinky cottage...I think we will be staying in our little house a bit longer...we dont make quite that much...YET...the staplers are beginning top take-off...***fingers crossed***

I have booked for my ultrasound at the end of July...maybe we will be able to tell if Tic-Tac is a he or a she....We will be bringing the disk "home" with us for everyone to see...

Week 14

I got back from the dr a bit ago and then we went for supper...everything is looking good...blood work is all good and blood pressure is hunky-dory...I have to schedule for my ultrasound tomorrow in Okotoks the week ending Aug5...the place in Okotoks does the 3-D colour imaging so I might have Tic-Tac's first picture for the big family road trip...Jeff saw a pic last week while picking up the mail at the post office...a lady was mailing it to her Mom...Jeff said the baby looked like a Cabbage Patch Kid...he was kinda excited...which is nice cause he hasnt shown too much enthusiasm lately...

Oh well, I'm off to bed shortly...I have a 7.30 meeting tomorrow morning at another store thats farther than my store...so I'm on the road at about 6-ish...and then I have to work my regular shift at my store from 9-5...sucks to be me...only 6 months left of work...I'm sure I'll miss it once I'm on mat leave...but then again, maybe not...

Yup..12 weeks down and a bunch to go...It seems my belly has gotten a bit too big for my "normal" pants...but Im not quite big enough for the prego pants yet...what to do?!?!? I guess I'll have to try and find some pants from last year before I started at Mark's and lost a bunch of the sitting-on-my-butt-all-day-talking-at-a-call-centre weight...I think they are around somehweres...

Anyways...I babysat the kids for Les tonight for a few hours while she got her tattoo....but it turned out to be a false alarm cause the tattoo guy totally forgot the time and over booked himself...so shes going in again Monday night...I might be able to Joseph and Alex sit, but then again maybe not...mayble Uncle Jeff can jump in....its easy...just buy them McD's and they are quite for 20 mins or so...teehee...

It was funny cause Joseph went straight to Les' leg when she got home looking for her tattoo...but there was nothing there...it was funny cause that's where Aaron has his...kids can be quite clever...

Well, Im opff tomorrow and Jeff and I are going to Millerville market first thing...its a farmers market until 12 noon...then it turns into a horse race track!!! no joke...I didnt believe it until I saw it either...I promised to he Mom 2 jars of picled asparagus....hmmmm...yummy....maybe the jars will be empty by the time they get delivered/picked up...I could only be so lucky!?!?

Week 9 and a bit

Hello everyone...

I have the day off and since I'm taking Joseph to the zoo with his class Friday morning I thought it was only fair that I take Alex out to do something fun...We went to Let's Play...its a huge indoor playground with a bunch of things to crawl through and tunnels and slides and ball rooms...soooo much fun....I really wanted to go play by myself, but I dont think they would have let me in alone...so Alex was my play buddy...we did that for a hard hour...then we went to McD's for lunch...he ate all his nuggets and most of his fries...and then he wanted to bring donuts home for the kids, so off to Timmy's we went...and then he ate 10 of them as soon as we walked in the door...what a funny guy...

It was quite the adventure...I'm so glad I'm not the big yet...there's no way I'd fit in the tunnels...but then again...that's what Uncle Jeffs are for***smile***....He has no idea the speed at which this little guy goes at....100 miles an hour until he falls down and passes out...

Well I'm off to do laundry...I have to work tomorrow and Thursday...and then It's date day number 2...I think we will go for McD's for lunch too....I mean what kid doesn't like chicken nuggets and rides in the white car...btw my car is white and the kids went crazy last week when they saw my car in the parking lot of my work....they gotta see Auntie if they see the car...

Week 8 and a bit

Hey everyone...

I've posted a pic for Mom and Dad of our late-Easter present...It was back ordered from Sears...but it's all put together and very nice to sit on...except when Jeff is doing the swinging cause he likes big swings...there goes my tummy again...

I have been feeling a bit better these last few days...not as squishy...yeah!!! and thank goodness, I'm still eating my sour kosher dills from Save-On...my faves...

Work has been going pretty good...I have been taking little breaks when I need them and have been doing less t-shirt folding...if anyone has been in retail t-shirts ALWAYS get trashed each and every day...I dont know how people can trash a pile of neatly folded shirts not 2 feet away from where you are re-folding more t-shirts?!?!? WTF?!?!? oh well...only 7 more months to go...

Jeff and I have picked out the nursery furniture...okay Mom and I picked out the nursery furniture...teehee...sorry Jeff...I think we only need the car seat/stroller combo and a high chair left for big items...and then all the fun little things once we find out if its a girl or a boy...I'm sorry but if anyone doesnt want to know, be warned it will make the blog once we find out...I'll try to warn you before hand, but can't promise anything as my memory is getting kinda fuzzy these days...hmmmm I wonder why...

We had a few friends over last Sat for a BBQ...and let them in on our secret...they thought we were kidding when we told them we needed to get rid of the couch and loveseat from the rec room to move Jeff's office downstairs...Why the heck would Jeff want to move his office downstairs, they asked...to turn it into the nursery was our reply...smiles...they kinda looked at us and then we got hugs from everyone...and then Jeff called me a milf....i just about peed my pants and dropped my shirley temple...i never really thought about it like that...yes UIncle Henry, Mr. Anonymous is Jeff...can ya tell?!?!? I bet you just can't wait to meet him this summer huh?

Speaking of this summer...I got my bonus check for first quarter...it wasnt as much as I was hoping for, but its almost enough for Jeff's plane tickets...so it's looking good...yippee...Jeff hasnt been East of Quebec City...and he is looking forward to the food and the sights and meeting the crazies I call family...I have done re-unions with his family so it's his turn I think...

Hope everyone is having as nice a day as we are in Alberta...it was 30 today...and they are forcasting 31 for tomorrow...I'm so glad Im not going to be huge in the summer time...I dont know how Les did it with Alex...

Week 7 and counting

Well...how do I start off the posting...I am feeling kinda gross all day...my tummy is a bit "squishy" and the thought of eating makes my tummy get squishier...but I thankfully haven't been ill...yeah!!! that was a total fear...I mean who likes to get sick? not me!!! Dad is calling every couple days to see how the Tic-Tac is feeling...I have to let you in on that story...we went to Mo0m and Das last week-end and Jeff was joking that he shouldn't have switched my pill for a Tic-Tac...and it has stuck...although he was referring to my belly as Charlie as well...yup, my dad is a bit "off"...but he's mine...

Any ways...on to other baby-related stuff...

Stuff is right...we have already started to collect the necessities from a family that Les used to have at her dayhome...and they were going to sell 7 diaper boxes of clothes and a bassenet and a swing for something really cheap at the comunity garage sale...until they found out I was expecting...so guess what we got last night...yuppers...it was a good thing Les gave me a heads-up to bring the van to work yesterday and not my little car...it wouldn't have fit...so I thing we are looking mainly for big items, like crib and change table and the stroller-car seat combo...we looked at a few nursery sets in Edmonton last week...and I'm kinda liking the cherry stained cribs that turn into headboard and footboard...the only6 down side is that the front doesn't slide...but Les had a good point...when they are big enough to move the mattress down lower, they are standing anyways...so no bending into the crib...and thats good cause I'm short...smile...

And on a totally unrelated subject...we just recieved wedding invites from our friend Darren and Melanie...if you have read any of the previous posts, they make up half of our fave local band Snap'd...it will be Sept 2...I think I'll reply that 2 and 1/2 guests will be attending...I'll be almost 7 months along by then and very obvious I'm thinking...so 2 weddings this year...fun...and I have no idea what I will wear (or even fit) by the time the roll around...

any ways...I am gonna be busy around Christmas cause Jeff and I are expecting a visit from the stork just before...Dec 23 actually***smiles***as you may have read in Lesley's blog, Dad and Jeff were celebrating last night and weren't feeling too hot this morning...sucks to be them...

we were out looking a nursery stuff this afternoon...and I'm kinda liking the cherry finish ones that convert into a headboard and footboard...the only bad thing is that the side doesn't slide down, so I would be leaning into the crib...and I'm kinda short...ha ha ha...so I think they were just eliminated...but you never know...

Luckily, this won't interfere with the plans to go "home" this summer...but it sorta means that jeff "has" to make the trip to get the know everyone and see what the baby is in for, relative-wise...

other than that, nothing really is going on...Jeff is working the trade show today and I went baby-stuff shopping...I think I had more fun today...we are both working the show tomorrow asnd then heading for the Valley after that...we will get home about 11 pm tomorrow night...I'll most likely sleep all the way home like I do every year...I have to work late shift Monday, so at least I can sleep in a bit...

Its about time...

to updaste my blog...the thing is nothing really happens out here in Turner Valley...

But we did go into town last night to see our fave local band "Snap'd" play....they were at Big Al's...which happens to be in one of the seediest areas of town...yippee...which is fun to watch the crazies...And the band is good...not just because they happen to be our friends, but they play lots of different songs...they are a rock band and play some current stuff like velvet revolver, default, and collective soul and some of my faves deep purple (who just yelled that in a request for them to play next?!?!? must have been Jeffie) and led zepplin and ozzy...They are learning more and more new songs and I must admit they do a pretty good rock version of Madonna Music...

and of course I was the DD...the party wagon rides again...We take the van when we go out so Jeff can drink and I drive us home...and we usually give Melanie and Darren (the singer and drummer...told ya we were friends with the band...kidding) a ride home cause Its on the way...and when you have to drive a hour anyways, whats an extra 10 mins? besides they usually end up waiting an hour for a cab at the end of the night...cause all the drunks need to get home to... oh well, I dont mind...

We went out new years to party with the band and I ended up driving everyone in the band home and their other haves that night...there was Neale The guitarist) and Brenda, Darren and Mel, me and Jeff, Timmy (the bassist) and 2 of Brendas friends...and a few guitars and a couple pieces of equipment...did I mention that we only had the 4 captains chairs??? so I had a seat to myself cause I was driving (im so glad about that) and Jeff had a seat cause he was my co-pilot...and everyone else was crammed into the 2 other seats and the back of the party van!!! it was quite a sight...

well, thats it for now...i'll update again when the next crazy thing happens.

We were sent this link from Larry (one of our university buyers) and it was very cool....I had to watch the entire video clip and thats rare for me...I usually get bored of them, but this was very interesting...it is best to have the sound turned on while the videa is playing...

anyways...Jeff is going to Houston tomorrow for a trade show...and we got a good soze dump of snow this afternoon...sucks to be me cause I'm not going this year...I got to go to the show last year...next year the show is in Orlando...so we are gonna save our flyer miles and I'm gonna stuff myself into a very big suitcase if I have to cause I wanna see Mickey Mouse!!! I know, Im a big kid...just like my Daddy...

Im hoping Jeff will take the camera and take a few pics while he is down there and Ill post them when he gets back next week...

Hope everyone had a good Family Day...we didn't really do anything today...Jeff has a cold from somewheres and is all stuffed up and all that "fun" stuff...

I had to work last night, and to my surprise we were having company over for dinner...our friends Joe (and his dog Cody) and Lil Michelle came over for dinner and drinks and hores-racing...come on have you ever known Jeff to NOT bring out the horse-racing game and try to win some money from our guests?!?!? It was a rare occassion for us to host dinner as we live 45 mins from the south-most community of Calgary, and Joe lives in the northeast part of town...

Lets just say that a good time was had by all...and then Jeff said to me this morning "I guess you didn't know I was mixing you doubles all night"...no wonder I slept so good...;~)

I have to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday...but get a 3 day week-end so I'm gonna go to Mom and Dads....not sure what we are gonna do cause I think the big guy will be still on the road...oh well, the WEM is nearby and I heard Dad got a bonus cheque not that long ago...maybe he needs me and Moms help to spend it...cha-ching...$$$$...good thing Dads away and wont know about my plan till its too late...

Date Night

Jeff and I didn't plan to stay out all night last night, but we did...We met up with our friend Joe for supper at Mongolie Grill downtown and then headed to the bar to see our friends play...It was great fun...A few of our other friends (Lil Michelle and Kelly and his new girlfriend) came in a bit later...We were the last group of people to leave the bar cause we were the band bus once again...(I drove everyone home new years eve...there were 19 people in total and 3 guitars and a piece of equipment in my mini van...I didn't care as long as I didn't have to share my seat cause I was driving)...We got home at 4 am and then were up again at 9-30 am to to toboggoning with the kids...but there was no snow!! so we had a good visit with Mom and Dad and Les and Joey and Alex...it had been a while since Uncle Jeff got to play with the boys...we let Joey and Alex loose with Uncle Jeffs digital camera and got some interesting pics...Ill try to post a few for everyone...they are really funny...

that's all for now...I need to go for a nap...

Jeff and I had a nice roast beef dinner tonight...it's way too busy to go into Calgary for dinner and then drive all the way back home...besides, Jeff is on the road first thing tomorrow morning cause he has an appointment in Olds about the "Wonder Stapler" and I have an appointment myself at 8am...mine is with the dentist, however...I am getting the first part of my crown done tomorrow and the next part will be in 2 weeks...Any guesses on where my Ralphybucks went??? Yup, to the dentist...

Now you might be wondering why the heck Jeff is driving 2.5 hours to meet with Olds college about a silly little stapler...well this all started last year in April when we went to New Orleans for the US College Show...this is where college buyers go and see what is available to sell in their retail outlets...imprinted items, pens, pencils and everything under the sun with their logos on them...we were there repping some of Jeff's lines (Top Flight and Four Point for imprinted notebooks and binders in all the Canadian post-secondary schools, Dot Mfg for desk accessories, and Redi-tag which is a self stick note (not Post-its but very similiar)...anyways, we were looking around at some of the other venders and our eye was caught by the huge booth with 3 different sizes of staplers and nothing else...we tried it and were in love instantly...the power of a staple gun with 1 finger through 25 sheets of paper...you really have to see it and try it to get why its so amazing, right Dad??? As it turned out, they were just about to go in search of a Canadian rep and we have an agency with sub-agents all over Canada and Jeffs Dad (Hi Bob..teehee..) had a warehouse outside Vancouver where he is the Canadian distributer for a few other lines...needless to say, we are the Canadian distributer for this little stapler...We have a sea can of them on their way in and are waiting for orders from the big box stores (wal-mart, zellers, etc) and are getting it listed in all the major office suppliers catalogues for 2007...I know, I didnt think I would end up being so excited about a stapler either, but it really is cool...

so thats what Jeff has been doing the past few months..Its off to beddy-bye for me cause I have an appointment with my dentist...too bad its not Les' Dougie Houser dentist...my dentist is kinda old and very married...his wife is one of the hygenists at the office...

Like Les said in her blog enrty already tonight, the boyz were 2 hand-fulls today...Joey being the funny boy he is pulled a fast one on Auntie Heather tonight...As you may know, we play spank Joey and Alex on the bum...well...didn;t Auntie wear the wrong pants tonight...I wore my track pants with draw-string and elastic waist...Joey pulled back Auntie pants and spanked me on the bum!!! just the way that we do it to him and Alex...now what made him think of that I have no idea...but it was so funny...he just kept laughing as I told Les what happenned...he is a very cleaver little boy...

Joey and ALex were playing hid-and-go-seek in the living room and playroom...Joey would tell Alex where to hide and then count and then go looking for Alex...it was quite funny to see...

Hope everyone is having a good week...1 day down and 4 to go till the week-end...yippee...

Mom...your shirts are burried under Dad's shirts...sorry...Jeff thought that I was crazy when he saw me taking pics of the shirts...I guess it was kinda weird, but who am I to judge...afterall, I'm not the one who drove from Med Hat to Calgary for a Harvey's hamburger...I was one of the kids strapped in the backseat along for the ride!!! So you all can probably figure out that it's blog night for me...cause Jeff is hogging the tv to watch hockey...and the Flames aren't even playing!!! oh well, I guess I know what I want for Christmas-birthday for 2006...a 2nd satalite reciever so I can watch my garden-cooking shows while Jeff watches his hockey-football-to serve and protect-judge judy, peoples court and judge mathis...a girl can dream, cant she?

I guess I really am my Mothers' daughter...Mom totally talked me into doing this...as she said..."the family does read them and you do have a few funny stories to tell"...so here it is...my blog.

And I though I would be playing my Sims 2 game while Jeff watched the Flames kick butt...Well, Jeff did hang our Tibetan prayer flags during the first intermission...thanks Jeff! they look great...What are prayer flags, you may be asking (okay, Dad's not asking, but someone else might be)...well, they are flags of 5 colours (red, blue, white, yellow and green) and they have Tibetan prayers written on them...they are to be hung in a windy place to bless the area...as the flags are blown, they will get tattered and stringy...the good spirits are caught by the flags but the bad ones pas through...I took a couple pics and will try to post them...We will see how that goes...

And I figured that while I had the camera out, I might as well take as few pics of the shirts I picked up for Dad at work yesterday...They were $8.00 each and are officially liscenced OCC t-shirts...Nannie Mac will be proud of my bargain hunting!! Surprise Dad! Im sure you will be giddy like a little-girl when you see them...
