7 weeks to go...and Im still getting bigger!!!

I had the day off and Jeff is in Van to do a meet and greet with the BC colleges and universities out there....so whats a girl to do?!?!? GO SHOPPING!!! I found 3 cute tops that fit over the ever-growing belly...and ran into a couple of girls from my retail past, Jan and Anna...Jan worked with me at Chinook Centre @ Reitmans and Anna worked at another Reitmans in town...they were surprised to see my belly!!! I will have to pop by after the baby so they can meet him...it was a nice little visit...

I have 5 more weeks of work and its getting harder and harder every day...the store is getting busier and we are getting more stock...and then we have a customer appreciation night at the end of Nov in which everything in store is 20% off...and we are open until 11pm and its a Saturday!!! apparently I am getting favourable treatment cause I'll be in month number 9 cause I get to work from 2pm - 10pm...and then open the store the next day for 9am...oh and did I mention thats the day Les is planning Joseph's happy day party!!! does anyone know of old wives tales to get the baby to come before hes due?!?!?!? just kidding, maybe...

I am off to get something for supper...I picked up some chicken and baby bok choy...yummy...and am having stir-fry...yummy...

have a good night everyone.

Glad to see your blog is back up and running...folks will be wanting to see photos of the baby almost immediately. Do you have that camera USB port problem figured out or is this just a ploy to get a brand new one???! Glad to see some of your old gal pals are still around.

Love Mom

Ouch, I always hated customer appreciation days...Especially around x-mas! I couldn't do it! I think the stress alone would put me into early labor! You could always pretend that morning that you're having contractions! Then just say it was like braxton-hicks or something after! That's what I would do! :P

We need to get you a stool so you can sit at the counter and stay off your feet. Now that would be fair treatment, considering how hard it is to get good staff these days. I thought you'd be working half-days by now. I admire your stamina.

once i go on mat leave I'll only be getting 55% of my wages earned for the last 52 weeks...unfortunately I cant afford to go to half days...and besides I dont want to spend almost 2 hours driving for 4 hours of work...dont make sense to me...I go at my own pace which has slowed down considerably and our operator does all my stocking for me...its nice to have a guy on staff again!!! so all i have to do are the event set-ups and tear-downs and markdowns when they happen (about 2 per week) and help customers on the boot deck and industrial wear...my fave depts...cause thats where the boys hang out...teehee...

did I mention that I was pregnant?!?!? just kidding...
